Daily Backpack Research
I’ve been using my current daily backpack, an Osprey Pandion 28L, for nearly a decade, and it’s finally starting to show its age. So I’m researching potential replacements for a new everyday carry backpack.
Requirements
- Comfortable to carry. I walk around two hours most weekdays, so it has to feel good on my back.
- Around 28L in capacity, enough that I could use it for a three-night trip.
- Ideally a single main compartment, but it should be able to hold:
- Two laptops (a 14” MacBook Pro and a 13” MacBook Air)
- A Leuchtturm A5 notebook
- Pencil case
- Small toiletry bag
- A book
- Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones
- A tech bag
- Rugged and durable. I walk in pretty much all weather (rain, snow, hail) so it should be at least water-resistant.
- I like a chest belt, but I’ve never liked a waist belt.
